Buys four-acre organic farm in Grasse.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but it would not necessarily be organic. No surprise then, that Lancôme is protecting its supply chain by acquiring a four-acre organic farm in Grasse. The move will enable Lancôme to track its fragrances from farm to shelf. The 500 year-old farm, dubbed Domaine de la Rose by Lancôme, gives the L'Oréal brand an opportunity pursue Ecocert approvals for its new formulas, according to the company.
